Bigfoot Silver Right - Maass

For the 4th consecutive year, Dan Runte has placed the iconic blue Ford from St. Louis on top of the Toughest Monster Truck Tour points standings. What makes this truly impressive is that they did it with a brand new, virtually untested truck; Bigfoot #21.

To illustrate Runte’s dominance, he won 25 of 36 individual competitions. He claimed 14 of the 16 racing contests he competed in. He was only defeated in racing by teammate Josh Gibson in Snake Bite and Maxie Broaddus in Walking Tall. The competition was a little stiffer in freestyle, but Runte was still able to take 9 of 16 titles. Overall, he matched his racing record with overall event titles at 14.   “We expected big things out of this new truck, but I didn’t expect this. That truck is really a beast” explained the most successful BIGFOOT driver ever; “The whole Toughest Monster Truck group is a class act and I wouldn’t want to be running anywhere else”.

In his second season Jamey Garner in the beautiful Over Bored machine stood out in freestyle; having no regard whatsoever for his meticulous candy apple red paint job. He would charge out of the pits and attack the track each night and dramatically improved his momentum from his rookie season. Garner claimed 3 freestyle crowns, with the other coming from his good friend and retired Team Scream icon Chris Bergeron taking over the seat in Saginaw, MI.

Aside from Runte’s dominance, the story of this season would have to be Aaron Cain driving the monster-sized ATV ‘Quad Chaos’.   No one knew what to expect out of the rookie, but all questions were quickly answered.   Cain started off slowly in Southaven, MS; but they quickly caught fire and was a contender in most competitions. “The Quad was a pleasant surprise this winter. The fans love it and Aaron is not afraid to drive the wheels off of it!” noted event producer Brian Manson.

The 2015 winter season was a huge success for the Toughest Monster Truck Tour. Sell-out crowds at several stops and outstanding performances from all of the competitors left fans satisfied and wanting more.
