A slim 7 point lead gives team BIGFOOT’s Larry Swim no comfort going in to the 2nd to last event of the Toughest Monster Truck Tour in Loveland, CO.

The St. Louis based team has been playing a nearly 3-month game of catch up after a disasterous start to the season. “We had some new parts in the truck for the first of the year and found out quickly that they were not built to spec. Rio Rancho put us in a deep hole points-wise, but we’re finally back in contention now” explained Bigfoot’s lead driver.

Seizing the opportunity was high flying Aaron Cain in Quad Chaos. The “world’s largest ATV” took charge, maintaining consistency in wheelies and racing and always delivering heart stopping freestyles. At one point he led the standings by 40 points over the blue Ford and wasn’t slowing down. “This is our 3rd season running this Toughest tour and it’s not getting any easier. We’re excited to be in the lead right now and this team is going to do everything we can to keep this truck in one piece so I can keep beating on it every weekend” noted Cain.

Like a predator backed in to a corner, Swim came out swinging. He put together an impressive streak of 6 racing wins and slowly and consistently chopped down the lead. At one point he even ran the truck on 7 cylinders to ensure no points were left on the table. Meanwhile Cain continued grabbing freestyle wins and the occasional event title to maintain the lead.

Dominating performances in Lafayette, LA and Kansas City finally propelled team Bigfoot back in to contention for the tour championship. “7 points is nothing, that can be won or lost in one round of wheelies or racing. I know Aaron Cain is not going to let up one bit, he want’s this as bad as I do.” explained Swim. “Things are going to get crazy in Colorado, and if it’s not settled there then we’ll go on to Grand Forks. I know if I wasn’t driving this truck, I’d have already bought my tickets!”
